You can count this in 21, subdivided in cycles of 10 and 11. Morgan actually wrote this out in 4/4 though.. 10 bars of four with one bar of 2/4 to even it out..

The name of the bass player in the mats/morgan band video is Tommy Tordsson. the dude on keyboard is Robert Elovsson. The current bass player however is Gustaf Hielm (ex meshuggah).
This whole song is incredible but the groove at the start particularly….. so good.

I’m trying to learn this on drums.. Quite hard! I think the first groove is a 17/16 groove, where the first hit on kick, and synth is the last hit in the mesure before, am i right? I don’t really know how to say this in english:P
Yeah, this is totally awsome..! Don’t know any bands with this unique sound; but they are inspired by Frank Zappa… But you could ckeck out some fusion bands, like Planet X. Thats a cool band! Or some of Frank Gambales stuff with Stuart Hamm and Steve Smith.. Or ***** Coreas electric band.. It’s not exactly like this, but awsome like hell!:)

But…hmm…maybe check out some of the avant-garde guys from Japan like “Ruins (Alone)” or the French band MAGMA – Its all very different from this but still cool to check out since its quite unique music…they call it “Zeuhl”!

Nah no worries, its the same sort of people who say that bands like the “Ting Tings” is “real” music…so no worries!
We are here to listen and support great bands like this, not listen to one or two mediocre “hits”!
Anyhow, AMAZING song…words cannot describe how amazing this duo (and the rest of the band) are

yeah its great.when i 1st heard this (in ‘99 or ‘00)i contacted morgan and left a long e-mail on the site.i didnt expect a reply,but he actually e-mailed me back and was excited to hear from an american.he sent me a few things and i eventually found some things to buy.
