How many mats do I need to play Active Life: Outdoor Challenge?

I was researching this game since I plan on buying it. The most amount of people that can play it is 2. The mat that comes with it is unique to Outdoor challenge- so there is not an extra mat that you can buy for it. The second player uses the same mat as player 1 (I read that it does get crowded on the matt if your a bigger person
)
We have it and the mat comes with the game…..so far we have played with two people. I am pretty sure that is all u can play with one mat, but I am not positive. Have not played it that much.
