How do you remove glue from mats in your tub?

tamparocker asked:

Some anti-slip mats were in my tub, and I took them out….now there is a glue residue left behind that I can’t remove; any ideas?

Try Oops – you will find it by the paint thinner.

You could try denatured alcohol, use one of those scotch srubbing pads…..

The adhesive glue stuck to your bathtub will come off with lighter fluid (naptha) or WD-40.

  • aokbrien:

adhesive remover. found at wal-mart or lumber/garden store.

get some lighter fluid, just put it on a rag, and rub it off…removes any kind os sticky stuff, good luck

understand how you felt. same things happened to me too. the most cost effective way is to use any kind of oil that you can find your home. cokking oil can be used. just put some on the glue residue. leave it for one or two hours. then use a cloth to rub them off. you can clean the oil stains later using detergents or any sopas. if it still cannot come out, put some more oil and leave it there for some more time.

Mix some regular oatmeal with water. It’s soluable, non-toxic and will work like a mini-scrub on the adhesive.
