Am I allowed to wash my car mats and carpets in coin laundary?

David asked:

I mean, Like the person on duty will allow me to was those heavy car mats and carpets?

I was thinking, that they might make lot of noise when rolling in machine?

Or when I put them in dryer, the rubber on back of mats dont smell?

Do what do you thing?
Allowed or not allowed?

David

Probably allowed. Some laundromats will have rules about not washing these things posted on the wall. But if they don’t, don’t ask for permission, just go for it! (Keeping in mind the rule that it is easier to obtain forgiveness than it is to ask for permission).

On the other hand, I wouldn’t dry these things in the dryer. That might mess up the mats, and it could leave nasty residue in the dryer. And they will dry quickly if you just leave them out for a few hours. Dont put them in a dryer.

You realize you can wash the mats at a car wash too, right? Most places have clips on the wall where you can hang the mats, which you spray with the carwash sprayer.
